The district Peruvian of Camporredondo is one of the 23 districts of the Luya Province , located in the Department of Amazonas , in the northeast of Peru . Bordered on the north by the Utcubamba province , east to Conil district and Ocalli district , west the department of Cajamarca and south by the Providencia district . The district was created November 3 of 1933 by Act No. 7877. Has an estimated population of more than 5,000 inhabitants. Its capital is the town of Camporedondo.

The town is influenced by some of the central cordillera of the Andes, is located at the bottom of the hill Condorpuñuna. Originally called Cocochillo; in 1934 , the year it became a district capital, changed its name to Camporredondo. Camporredondo is located in a warm area to a distance of approximately 6 km from Marañón River . Camporredondo offers several attractive places for tourists as ruins of the Chachapoyas culture. It also highlights the wide variety of fruits that grow in the area. The patron saint of the capital Camporredondo be held from 28 to 30 June, in honor of the patron saint, the Apostle Peter. Also celebrate the feast of the Holy Cross Pucho. As meals typical Locrito know the Banana, the Shurumbe or Yuca Chic Chic, The Pig Tacacho with the Peppered among others. Among the highlights have to drink the Mistela (made with brandy, molasses, cinnamon and cloves), Banana Cocopa, and Eggnog.

WEATHER
The climate varies from temperate to warm temperate, moderately cold in the upper reaches. The temperature is mild, seasons are not well marked, however it has two stages, the rains, which usually go from November to April and the drought that occurs from June to October.
OROGRAPHY
The District is crossed by the central cordillera of the Andes and highlight its main peaks: Cunamia (mean height of snow), Condor -Pununo (meaning sleeper condors), Huixocunga (means twisted neck), and the small plateau of Pucho.
HYDROGRAPHY
The District is surrounded by several rivers, the most mighty Marañon River that serves as a boundary with the Department of Cajamarca, also highlights the Guangozá River and its tributaries as the San Francisco , The Trancahuaico, The Gramalote, The JAIP, are also part of hydrography and Huamboya Júmite Rivers and Danja Lagoon. Finally, at the district level, none of the rivers are used for irrigation in agriculture or energy use.
